Now that the week is almost over I'm finally at a point where I can write about the REST of our busy week... last week.
Last Friday was our ward trunk-or-treat party and it was lots of fun. There were tons of people that I haven't even met before, lots of great chili (mine happened to win 2nd place... thank you, thank you), fun games to play, and of course lots and lots of candy. Here are the kids enjoying their spoils:
The next day I took Margaret to get her very first haircut, during which she cried nonstop until the stylist gave her a sucker (her weak spot.) I forgot to take an after picture, but the stylist took one with her camera and stuck it on a little certificate. I didn't have anything major done to her hair, just a trim (it was starting to look really scraggly in the back.) In fact, I don't think anyone can even tell that her hair was cut besides John and myself, but just knowing makes all the difference. Or in the words of G.I. Joe "Knowing is half the battle!" :)

Yep, the same thing was happening with Sophia's hair. Months ago it was starting to look too scraggly and a simple trim made all the difference. That hair salon looked like an awesome place for kids! Where is that? Also, great Halloween paperbag puppets....very cute!
probably you guys are the cutest family ever.... despite your punk kid neighbours who try their hardest to take that from you!! LOVE all the crafts and especially LOVE their costumes!
Love all the decorations! Good for you...we had our decorations box sit on our fireplace for the entire month and forgot to put up half of the things in there. Oh well. There is always next year!
Sorry about people stealing your pumpkins. Last year (right after we moved in) our house was egged on Halloween. Luckily we weren't touched this year...
You are such a fun mom Adurey! I'm such a lame mom. I have to come up with some traditions for my kids. The crafts are so fun, Kennedy made those egg carton spiders at pre-school, so cute! Their costumes were adorable and way to go winning 2nd place chili! We had soup at our trunk-or-treat and there wasn't a drop left of my beef stew when it was over. I was pretty proud of myself being as un-domestic as I am. I miss you, maybe we can come visit soon?
